Maple Ridge is the only city in British Columbia to be Recognized for its Strong Working Relationship with Building Contractors

Maple Ridge, BC: The District of Maple Ridge is pleased to announce that the municipality has been named one of the “Top Five Most Renovator-Friendly Cities” in Canada by Canadian Contractor magazine, Canada’s leading authority for renovation and building professionals. Maple Ridge is the only city in British Columbia to be recognized by the Canadian Contractor ranking and is joined by Calgary, Alberta, Fredericton, New Brunswick, and Barrie, Ontario, with an honourable mention granted to Airdrie, Alberta.

Prince George - Reflection on the Provincial Budget’s Impact on PG and Northern BC & Newsletter

VICTORIA, BC – Today’s provincial budget reflects challenging global economic conditions. The provincial government will be going into deficit and the provincial debt to GDP ratio will rise, though not significantly.

“The Budget is a measured approach to managing the province’s finances in these challenging economic times”, stated Tim McEwan, President and Chief Executive Officer, Initiatives Prince George Development Corporation. “We understand that government is faced with a tough balancing act to maintain hard-won improvements in provincial public finances”, McEwan continued.
